Sourced from Đà Lạt, the capital of Lâm Đồng Province, this lot is grown at an elevation of 1,480–1,650 masl and crafted by Hung Pham, a third-generation farmer dedicated to producing exceptional coffees. The result? A coffee with remarkable depth, clarity, and vibrant flavor notes that are as unique as they are delightful.

This coffee comes to us through a direct trade partnership with Hung Pham, a talented young producer whose family has been growing coffee for three generations. Hung’s farm is located in the lush Central Highlands of Vietnam, where rich volcanic soil and high altitudes provide the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee.

This lot was produced using the natural process, where coffee cherries are dried whole in the sun, allowing the fruit's natural sugars to enhance the flavor. This method highlights the coffee's vibrant sweetness and complexity while staying true to the unique characteristics of the region.

Story

Hung Pham’s coffee journey is one of passion, creativity, and vision. As a third-generation farmer, he draws on his family’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of what Vietnamese coffee can be. 

The coffee impressed our quality control team during cupping, with vibrant flavors of red grape and tropical fruit, finishing with honey sweetness and a hint of candied almond.

This special coffee comes to us from our direct trade relation with Hung Pham, a third generation coffee producer. Grown at 1480-1650 meters above sea level, this lot hails from Đà Lạt, the capital of Lâm Đồng Province in southern Vietnam’s Central Highlands. This harvest was the first year Mr. Hung used anaerobic fermentation processing with his coffee. This is a coffee processing method where coffee is fermented in pressurized sealed tanks deprived of oxygen. This lack of oxygen produces distinct acids, lactic acids for example, that create a different and distinct flavor profile. This method gives Mr. Hung’s coffee a huge surge of flavors.
