Its remarkable cleanliness and distinct flavor profile make it a true standout in every cup.

The farmers in Kyauk Ku Pyin are redefining what’s possible for coffee in Southeast Asia. This 100% Catuai variety is processed naturally—a sustainable approach that not only highlights the coffee’s unique flavors but also aligns with the region’s need to conserve water outside the rainy season. The Kyauk Ku Pyin community, nestled in Myanmar’s Shan State, is home to over 400 Danu families who grow coffee at 1,356 masl. These families cultivate Catuai coffee on small plots, typically less than one hectare, using traditional agricultural knowledge passed down through generations.

Natural processing is the preferred method here, chosen for its sustainability in a region where water conservation is critical. This method not only produces vibrant, clean flavors but also aligns with the community’s commitment to sustainable practices.

Myanmar’s coffee journey is still emerging on the global stage, and Kyauk Ku Pyin is leading the charge. Through careful cultivation and processing, these farmers are redefining what Southeast Asian coffee can be.
