Wilmar's involvement in the coffee world was ignited through his participation in quality coffee initiatives. Subsequently, he pursued further knowledge by learning from neighbors and partnerships.
For Wilmar, his farm's distinctiveness lies in its elevated location at 1,910 meters above sea level, coupled with breathtaking landscapes and pristine air. Aside from the simple pleasures of sipping coffee, Wilmar invests daily efforts into supporting his family through sustainable farming practices, fertile soils, and heightened productivity.
Wilmar initiates his coffee processing journey by carefully hand-picking ripe cherries, ensuring only the best ones are selected for processing. The cherries are then transported to the wet mill without delay and left untouched in the reception container. Post-depulping, the coffee undergoes a 36-hour fermentation period in cement tanks, followed by a minimal water wash at Casa Heida, equipped with a retractable rooftop to ensure optimal drying conditions. The coffee moves through a 10-day drying process on a daily basis, ensuring uniform humidity levels and quality retention.

Wilmar Ramirez and his wife Flor reside at their farm named Fuente Hermosa, deriving its moniker from the surrounding water sources.
