Hot Cocoa, Cinnamon Spice, Smooth

Direct Trade  •  Women Producers  When I was little, my grandma would make me hot chocolate, wrap me up in a big blanket, and put on Little House on the Prairie. (I'm pretty sure she was just trying to distract me so she could go to the other room to chain smoke Virginia Slims and do crossword puzzles, but that's not the point.) This coffee is a lot like that childhood memory. With comforting notes of hot cocoa, a hint of honey sweetness, and a cinnamon spice finish, it'll have you feeling all warm and snuggly.

Susana Maria del Rosario Angel Galindo operates a 14 hectare Certified Organic farm - Finca El Jaboncillo - in the Siltepec region of Mexico. Her farm is located in a mountainous area near the Pico del Loro Paxtal reserve, where fog tends to blanket the ground during the rainy season. When the farm's 9,000 trees are ready for harvest, the shade-grown cherries are hand-picked and depulped the same day. The beans are then triple-washed and sun dried on patios.
