Ronal, a founding member of the El Palto cooperative (also known as JUMARP), is dedicated to elevating coffee quality in the Lonya Grande district. His expertise in cultivation and processing has resulted in a beautifully structured washed Gesha.

Ronal Carranza Montenegro has been a leader in Peruvian coffee for years, not only as a producer but as a mentor to others in his region. Through the El Palto cooperative, he has helped shape a network of producers committed to sustainable farming and quality driven processing. His farm, Guardian del Bosque, is a testament to this dedication, carefully cultivating organic Gesha at 1600 meters above sea level.
This lot reflects both his passion and Peru’s deep-rooted coffee heritage. The coffee undergoes a meticulous 72-hour fermentation in cherry, followed by another 72 hours post-pulping, before drying on raised beds in a solar dryer, enhancing its vibrant complexity. The extended fermentation process highlights the coffee’s bright, fruit-forward character, resulting in a cup that is both refined and expressive.
