Selina's Summer Mocktails šŸ¹

One of my favorite things is complimenting already exceptional coffee by combining new, unique flavors.Ā As the hotter months started to sink in, I was inspired byĀ our twoĀ cold brew blends: Connection and Summer Haze.Ā

Ā

Our house cold brew, Connection, is a Brazil and Colombian blend with delicious cocoa and nutt notes. My mind instantly went to piƱa colada. When those chocolate notes are paired with sweet pineapple and coconut, it's like an Almond Joy paradise. And who doesn't need a good escape these days? šŸ˜‰

The Escape

Ā Ingredients Instructions

2oz pineapple juice

1oz coconut cream

1oz coconut milk

12oz Connection Cold Brew

cinnamon and lime wedge for garnish

Combine pineapple juice, coconut cream, coconut milk, cold brew, and a scoop of ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously for a few seconds. Pour into a pint glass over crushed ice. Garnish with cinnamon and a lime wedge.

Ā

Our featured Summer Haze cold brew is a delicate blend of natural and honey-processed Ethiopian coffees. It's chock-full of floral honeysuckle and blueberry notes, so I wanted to keep it delicate and classic. Here is my cold brew rendition of a Gin & Juice.

Laaaidback

Ā Ingredients Instructions

1 sprig of rosemary

7g simple syrup

1 wedge of orange

2 splashes of old fashioned bitters

a pinch of salt

12oz Summer Haze cold brew

a splash of ginger beer

Throw the spring of rosemary, simple, juice of the orange wedge, bitters, and pinch of of salt into a glass. Muddle all the ingredients together, you will start to smell the amazing aromatics of this combination, at this point add Summer Haze cold brew and top with ginger beer.Ā
Iā€™m a born and raised Texan, so the summer heat is all I know and love. Summer in quarantine has had lessā€¦ well, no pool days. That's how I usually spend my summers - cold brew and cold beers, hiking and swimming along theĀ Greenbelt. And when itā€™s time to cool down, find some A/C and a record player and relax.Ā
Stay safe, informed and healthy out there!
