Cooperative RAOS actively promotes gender equity through fair ownership and pay, educational support programs, and assemblies led by the female members to increase equity within the co-op and the community. Though the Honduran climate and altitude are favorable for all farmers, RAOS stands apart via its attention to detail in processing: the co-op has a central processing station for wet- and dry-milling, which improves cup consistency and quality.
20% of the proceeds from this coffee go to the Houston and Corpus Christi Food Banks to assist Hurricane Harvey flood victims.
